The wire and The Wireless.

The wire of old Nitel (Nigeria Telecommunication) Plc. Telephone lines now obsolete at the left top corner of the picture.

A base station out of several thousands scattered all over the country. It will be suprising to know that each of the base station is powered by two hefty diesel generators working twelve hours shift automatically to provide the service. That’s why we pay high tarrif  for such services.The system we run here favour the people at the helm of affairs. They enjoy so much free amenities while everybody has to pay through their nose.
